Hello Seekers,
On March 3, we experience a Total Lunar Eclipse in Leo, in the nakshatra Purva Phalguni. In Vedic astrology, an eclipse is always a karmic reset point, but this one carries particular weight because of what preceded it.
Two weeks earlier we moved through the Solar Eclipse in Aquarius. That eclipse felt destabilising for many. It exposed truths, unsettled systems, brought confusion rather than clarity. It was presided over by the energy of Shiva, the disruptor, the one who asks us to look at our identity, our ego, and our attachments differently. It marked endings, or at least the beginning of endings.
Now the Lunar Eclipse completes the sequence.
The Moon sits in Leo with Ketu, while the Sun remains in Aquarius with Rahu, joined by Mercury retrograde and Mars. Venus is exalted in Pisces with Saturn, and Jupiter is retrograde in Gemini. The sky itself reflects karmic concentration, the sky is fully activated. When so many planets gather around the Rahu and Ketu, events feel amplified, and lunar eclipses operate more immediately, you feel them.
Leo represents the heart, the seat of identity, the inner light. With Ketu there, something is being stripped back. Not your essence, but the layers you built around it. The roles. The responsibilities. The identity you formed to survive, to be accepted, to belong.
Purva Phalguni, ruled by Venus, carries the theme of rediscovering joy, creativity, and authentic self-expression. The kind of joy that places you in flow. The gifts you may have neglected. The parts of yourself that used to feel alive and effortless before life became so structured.
This eclipse is not about ego inflation. It is about ego purification.
And on a collective level, we may also witness larger truths surfacing in the world around us. Power dynamics shift when illusion dissolves.
This Full Moon is also symbolically connected to Lakshmi, who emerged from the great churning of the cosmic ocean. And that is important. Because before beauty rises, there is churn. Emotion. Movement. Discomfort. The storm before clarity.
So if you feel emotional, unsettled, reflective, that is natural. The churn is part of the rebirth.
