Hello Seekers,
The year opens under a Full Moon, aligned with expansive Jupiter. This Moon widens perspective and stretches awareness. It shows you more of the picture. More of what is possible. More of what is asking to grow. It may be tempting today to rush into plans and declarations, and starting your new year resolutions, to set intentions and name goals straight away. Yet this Moon asks for something different first.
This Full Moon rises in Ardra Nakshatra, known as the star of storms. Ardra is ruled by Rudra, the storm form of Shiva. The force that breaks things open so truth can surface. Ardra carries intensity. It can arrive through emotion, confrontation, tears, or sudden insight. Like a heavy rain after heat, it clears the air. What remains feels cleaner, sharper, and more honest. This is energy that destroys illusion, not softly, but completely.
On the opposite side of this Full Moon sits a strong cluster of planets in sidereal Sagittarius. Sun, Mars, Venus, and Mercury gather fire. This adds heat to the storm. Over the next two weeks, leading to the New Moon, the theme is transformation through effort. When life feels intense under this sky, it is not punishment. It is karma burning faster than usual. The storm passes, and clarity follows. You see what matters. You see what is no longer worth carrying.
This Full Moon is a clearing point, a moment to name what you are releasing. The true reset arrives on January 14 with Makar Sankranti, when the Sun moves into Capricorn and the solar year turns forward. That is when discipline, structure, and forward momentum gain support. Today you clear. On January 14, you commit.
