Caption: Graduation with my teacher Anand Mehrotra at Sattva Yoga Academy, India. This moment is why I do what I do.
I have been practicing these techniques for 15 years. Teaching for over a decade. And I can say, with complete honesty, that nothing I have encountered in my own journey has moved me as profoundly as the Dasha Mahavidya tradition. This July, I am bringing it to Australia for the first time. That photo above was taken at my graduation with my teacher Anand Mehrotra at Sattva Yoga Academy in India. Look at my face. Rose petals flying. Pure joy. That is what happens when you have spent years going deep inside a lineage that actually works. That moment is what I want to give you a doorway into. If you feel something stir when you read these words, even if you cannot explain why, keep reading. What Are the Dasha Mahavidyas?
The Dasha Mahavidyas are ten Tantric goddesses from the ancient Hindu tradition who represent ten distinct forces of consciousness, transformation, and liberation. “Dasha” means ten in Sanskrit, and “Mahavidya” means great wisdom. Together, they form one of the most complete maps of the inner life that spiritual humanity has ever produced — a 10,000-year-old system for understanding and working with the deepest forces within you. These are not abstract deities to be studied from a distance. They are frequencies. Energies. Ways of seeing and being that, once activated, change how you move through the world. Each of the ten goddesses holds a specific quality that every human being is either struggling to access or desperately needs more of. When you work with these energies through mantra, breathwork, and ritual, something opens in you that ordinary life tends to keep closed. The Ten Mahavidyas and What They Awaken in You
This is what makes this tradition so extraordinary. Each goddess is a doorway: Kali — Unconditional love. The fierce, boundless love that burns away everything that is not real. Tara — Voice of wisdom. She teaches us to be aware of our words, to speak with truth and care. Tripura Sundari (Shodashi) — Bliss, abundance, and manifestation. The fullness of life made available to you. Bhuvaneshvari — Health and healing. A positive mind. Illumination from within. Bhairavi — Fearlessness. Protection from negative energy. The courage to walk through fire. Chhinnamasta — Supreme intuition. The end of ego. Knowing beyond thinking. Dhumavati — Detachment and willpower. The ability to let go of what no longer serves you. Bagalamukhi — Clarity and stillness. Clarity is heaven. The power to cut through noise and see what is real. Matangi — Divine vision and correction of the intellect. Seeing what is actually there, not what we project. Kamala — The capacity to love and be loved. Fully. Without conditions. Look at that list. Every single quality that human beings search for in therapy, in meditation, in relationships, in spiritual practice — it is all here. Held by these ten goddesses. Waiting. Why I Am Bringing This to Australia
The last ten years of my teaching life have been shaped primarily by one lineage: that of Anand Mehrotra and Sattva Yoga Academy in Rishikesh, India. Anand is one of the most respected living masters of Vedic and Tantric wisdom in the world, and studying under him has been the deepest and most transformative work of my life. The Dasha Mahavidya teachings are part of what I have received through this lineage over years of study and practice in India. I have not simply read about these goddesses. I have sat with them. Chanted with them. Been undone and rebuilt by them. What struck me most, early on, was that this tradition does not ask you to believe anything. It asks you to experience. And the experience — when held properly, in the right container, with the right guidance — is unlike anything most Western practitioners have ever encountered. Australia does not have access to this. Not like this. A full five-day initiation, in the Sattva lineage, with practices that go back thousands of years. That is what I am offering in July. I want you to come because you felt something when you read this. Not because you understand it intellectually. The understanding comes later. The experience comes first. What the Retreat Actually Looks Like
The retreat runs from July 22 to 26, 2026 at a private luxury sanctuary on the NSW South Coast, about 2.5 to 3 hours from Sydney. You arrive at 4pm on day one and leave at midday on day five. Each day we move through: Morning sadhana — We open each day at sunrise with dedicated practice to set the energetic field. There is a particular quality to early morning practice in a group that has been together for several days. Something accumulates. Something deepens. Wisdom sessions — Deep transmission of the teachings of each Mahavidya. I will share what I have learned and experienced through years of training in India, and we will work with it together. Breathwork journeys — Himalayan breathwork practices that take you directly into the energetic quality of each goddess. The knowing becomes felt. Puja and ritual — Ceremonial practice using mantra, sacred fire, and devotional offerings. Many Western practitioners have never experienced ritual at this depth. It is one of the most powerful parts of the retreat. Mantra practice — Working with the seed mantras of each Mahavidya. These are sounds that carry the specific frequency of each goddess. When practiced correctly, they resonate in the body in a way that words cannot fully describe. And you will not be alone when you leave. Every participant receives a 100-day integration practice to take home, supported by two follow-up Zoom calls with me after the retreat ends. The real work, in many ways, begins when you walk back into your ordinary life carrying something new. What You Will Take Home
People come to retreats like this looking for something. Often they cannot name exactly what it is. They just know something is missing, or something wants to open, or they have been circling a threshold for a long time and they are ready to cross it. What I can tell you from experience is this: the Mahavidyas work on you. Not just during the retreat. Long after. The 100-day integration practice is there precisely because the goddesses tend to keep showing up once you have invited them in. You may find your relationships changing. The way you use your voice. Your relationship to fear, to clarity, to love. The specific qualities each Mahavidya carries begin to become available to you in daily life in a way they were not before. This is one of the oldest and most refined systems of inner development on earth. And it works.Who This Retreat Is For
This retreat requires at least one year of consistent spiritual or meditation practice. If you are earlier in your journey, I would recommend beginning with a Vedic Meditation course first, and we can talk from there. Beyond that minimum, this is for you if you feel drawn to the Divine Feminine, are ready to work with the full spectrum of your inner life including the parts that are fierce, uncertain, or unresolved, want an experience rather than just information, are willing to commit to five days of deep practice and a 100-day integration process afterward, and sense that something in you is ready to open, even if you cannot quite name it.Practical Details
