What is Vedic Meditation?

Vedic Meditation is a mantra-based meditation practice.   This ancient technique is derived from a 5000-year-old body of wisdom known as the Vedas.

During the course, the student is given a personal mantra or sound, and when used correctly will allow the mind to settle into its least excited state. This simple and effortless technique allows the body to unwind stresses in the nervous system while allowing the body to go into a deep state of rest and relaxation.

This is a transcending technique, so there is no concentrating or trying to stop thoughts  (meditation is not about having no thoughts),  it is about quieting the mind and allowing whatever arises to be there in the background, while giving you deep rest and recovery from everyday life.

Why Meditate?

Meditation is a way of accessing the minds fullest potential. When you meditate, you are creating the perfect conditions for your mind to expand, and your body to rest.

When the body is resting deeply, you can begin the process of dissolving stresses in your nervous system that create imbalance and dis-ease. Anything from fatigue, fogginess, anxiety, nervousness, physical pain or mental conditions significantly improve after only a short while of practising Vedic meditation.

You will feel more aware, calm and confident. You’ll gain greater adaptability in life and feel capable of meeting any challenge or demand. Through a daily practice, you will awaken to your natural state of infinite creativity, flexibility, compassion, and generosity.

Meditation enables your entire system to reboot, dissolve stress and fatigue, and expand into your fullest potential.

Accessing your potential.

Once we start dissolving the stresses in our nervous system, we start awakening to our true potential. We are all here in the lifetime for a purpose, and the place you go when you meditate is to the deepest, truest level of yourself, or Being.

Once you start tapping into that infinite level of creativity that resides in all of us,  we come out of meditation and have inspired action, and as our perception of the world is refined, we start to see our lives with more clarity and purpose. We see the world as expansive.

A new way of living.

As we go through life, we are searching for one thing. Happiness.

We think once I get this job, or this item, then I will be happy, but this is a misunderstanding of your purpose in life. Happiness, as cliched as it sounds, is inside of you.

Vedic Meditation takes you to the inner state of happiness or bliss state, which resides in all of us. Once we touch that state every day, we aren’t looking externally for something to make us happy, because we already have a baseline of happiness, and this carries forward into everything we do in our life.
