Solar Eclipse August 12th 2026
Hello Seekers,
This month is powerful, and this full moon is doubly powerful, because Mars and Jupiter are lining up.
Jupiter is exalted in Cancer right now, its strongest possible placement in the whole zodiac. Mars is activating that exaltation, and the strength of Jupiter lifts a debilitated Mars right up with it. Two planets that would normally struggle against each other are instead working together.
That brings a new awareness.. especially in the area of spirituality.
This full moon falls in Uttara Bhadrapada Nakshatra, while the sun sits in Virgo. Let’s go there.
The Limits of the Mind
Virgo carries the idea of going beyond the limitations of the mind. It’s the sign of boundaries, structures, earthly labels, the container we build around ourselves so the world feels manageable.
Useful, until it isn’t. Until the container becomes the cage.
So this full moon, we invoke Lord Ganesha, to purify the mind and clear the obstacles that live there.. because that’s actually where every obstacle begins.
He clears out everything that’s gone rigid in there. The structures that made sense once and have quietly gone outdated. The labels you’re still wearing that no longer fit. Ganesha makes the ground clear enough for you to connect to something deeper within yourself, something the mind alone was never going to find.
The Deep Waters Within
Where Virgo represents the structure, the limit, the earthly realm.. Pisces represents what’s unbound. The infinite waters of the ocean.
That energy is especially embodied in Uttara Bhadrapada, known as the nakshatra of deep waters. Its deity is Ahir Budhnya, the serpent of the deep sea.
He represents the unlimited potential residing within you, the potential you’re mostly unaware of. That intuitive voice, hidden deep in your unconscious mind, waiting for you to actually listen to it.
Access to Your Intuition
This is also a spiritually charged moon, because Saturn, the guru, is currently retrograde, and Jupiter, the teacher, is influencing it as well.
That combination gives you greater access to your intuition. To your subconscious mind. To the world of your dreams. You may find an incredible opportunity here to reconnect with your spiritual self on a deeper level than you have in a while.
It can also be the reason things feel a little overwhelming at the moment. Both are true at once, and that’s exactly why this is such a powerful time for healing, for releasing, for letting go of the old, while still honouring everything the past has taught you.
If your spiritual practice has felt like it went missing recently.. restart it. Listen to your intuition. This full moon will make you feel more spiritually connected than you have in some time, and that’s really the gift of it.
What This Full Moon Is Asking You to Release
There may be difficult memories surfacing right now. Unhealed burdens from the past, rising to the surface of your awareness. Let them come. This is a powerful time for reflection, for looking back and seeing exactly what the past has taught you, but also for seeing what gifts you can reconnect with, the ones that made you feel more connected to yourself and to others.
The symbol of Uttara Bhadrapada is the funeral cot.
If that isn’t a sign that it’s time to let go, I don’t know what is, seekers. It’s written in the stars this time, and the moon is bringing it to the light. Stop clinging.. just let it go.
It’s also a beautiful time for tangible endings. Clean up your space. Make room in your apartment for something new. As we purify ourselves internally, clearing the space around us helps fresh energy find its way in.
Saturn’s Lesson
Saturn is the strict teacher of Jyotish, and when Saturn is retrograde, his symbolism turns deeply introspective.
Old responsibilities may return to your attention. Something unfinished may start bothering you again. Past mistakes may come back into your mind, and you may find yourself becoming unusually serious about your future.
Know what you can change. Accept what you cannot change. And have the wisdom not to confuse the two.
Looking Ahead to October
As we move out of this full moon and into October, three major planets, Saturn, Venus and Mercury, will all be retrograde. That creates a strong theme of looking back, reassessing, and dealing with what’s still unfinished.
That doesn’t mean progress stops. It means October can help you see what’s actually working, what needs adjusting, and where a little more patience produces a far better long term result.
Until next time Seekers, with love and gratitude, Geoff.
